What can one expect at Making Space to Heal?
Each session at Making Space to Heal is paced to mirror the client's level of felt safety and seeks to engender a sense of balance. Dr. Logan seeks to build trust with each of his clients through transparency. Clients are encouraged to ask questions, take notes, and direct Roderick to slow down should the session feel overwhelming. Roderick's sessions are less like a therapist/patient relationship and more of a person-to-person relationship, where each is on an equal plane. Clients can expect Roderick to bring his expertise to the table, but never to overshadow the genius that lies within them. so, clients are invited to collaborate in the process of their healing and actively take part not only in the sessions but with work outside of the sessions.
Each session is particularly designed to be relational and empowering. Clients are respected as human beings possessing unique talents and skills, and Making Space to Heal is all about helping others discover their voice and increase their ability to make choices. Throughout the journey towards resiliency, the goal is to restore balance within the individual so that their behavior, emotions, and thinking are congruent with their values and integrity. Making Space to Heal and Dr. Logan recognizes and embraces diversity among people; including culture, history, practices, and gender.

Summary of Core Values
"Roderick helped me understand the difference between 'conflict resolution' and 'conflict management.' Namely, 'conflict resolution' seeks to find a winner and loser. In a relationship, that's probably not the best paradigm. In 'conflict management,' we agree that two people can love each other and not have to agree on everything... and this becomes a wonderful model for children to witness. Instead of an endless struggle for control to be right, it's a relationship that actually thrives and nurtures in the midst of disagreement. Roderick's insight into human behavior and strong knowledge of Biblical principles (from a Hebrew perspective) helped shift my paradigm in a major way, and for the better! Roderick's advice and counsel has had lasting impact on me that I rely on to this very day." - P.S., CEO
